Remi Baby App ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Remi - Baby Tracker mobile application (the "App") and the website remibabyapp.com (the "Website"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide you with a great baby tracking experience. This includes:

Account Information

• Email address - used for account creation, login, and important account notifications.

Baby Tracking Data

When you use the App, you may log the following types of information about your baby:

• Feeding data - type of feed, amount, duration, and time.
• Sleep data - nap and sleep times, duration, and quality notes.
• Diaper data - diaper changes, type, and time.
• Milestone data - developmental milestones and the dates they occur.

Voice Input

The App supports voice logging through speech-to-text functionality. When you use the voice feature, your speech is converted to text in real time. We do not store, save, or retain any audio recordings. Voice data is processed solely for the purpose of converting your speech into text to log entries in the App.

Analytics

Our website uses GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly, open-source analytics tool. GoatCounter does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track users across websites. It only collects aggregate, anonymous page view statistics.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To provide, maintain, and improve the App and its features.
• To create and manage your account.
• To sync your baby tracking data across devices and between caregivers.
• To send important account-related notifications (such as security alerts or service updates).
• To understand how the App is used so we can make it better.

We do not use your data for profiling, automated decision-making, or any purpose unrelated to the core functionality of the App.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database platform with built-in security features including:

• Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest.
• Row-level security policies to ensure users can only access their own data.
• Regular security updates and monitoring.

While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your Remi account.

4. App Permissions

The App requests the following device permissions:

• Microphone - used exclusively for voice-to-text logging. When you tap the microphone button, your speech is converted to text so you can log entries hands-free. No audio is recorded, stored, or transmitted to any server in audio form. You can use the App fully without granting microphone access by typing your entries instead.
• Camera - used optionally to take photos of meals, diapers, or other items for AI-powered analysis. Photos you take are sent to our AI service for analysis and stored alongside the related data entry in your account. You can use the App fully without granting camera access.

The App does not request or use location data, contacts, or any other device permissions beyond what is listed above.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the App:

• Supabase - for secure cloud data storage and authentication. Supabase Privacy Policy

We do not share your personal data with any other third parties. We do not integrate with any advertising networks, data brokers, or social media tracking platforms.

6. No Selling of Data

We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade your personal information to any third party. This applies to all data we collect, including account information, baby tracking data, and usage data. This is a core principle of our business, not just a legal requirement.

7. No Advertising or Ad Tracking

The App contains no advertisements and uses no ad tracking technologies. We do not use advertising identifiers, tracking pixels, or any form of behavioral tracking for advertising purposes.

8. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Remi - Baby Tracker is designed for use by parents and caregivers, not by children. The App is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

The baby-related data entered into the App (such as feeding times and sleep schedules) is entered and controlled entirely by the parent or caregiver. Children do not interact with the App directly.

If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the address below.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You have full control over your data at all times:

• Delete individual entries - you can delete any feeding, sleep, diaper, or milestone entry at any time from within the App.
• Delete your account - you can delete your entire account and all associated data at any time. Account deletion is permanent and removes all of your data from our servers, including all baby tracking data, account information, and any other data tied to your account.

Once your account is deleted, your data cannot be recovered.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access - you can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction - you can update or correct your information at any time through the App.
• Deletion - you can delete your account and all associated data at any time.
• Portability - you can request your data in a portable format.
• Objection - you can object to certain processing of your data.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the App or by email. The "Effective Date" at the top of this page indicates when this policy was last updated.
